 The Importance of Cleansing

Did you know the organs responsible for the elimination of toxins and waste are the colon, skin, kidneys, and lungs? If these organs are not cleansed, waste products and toxins can accumulate and compromise our health.

What’s Makes Us Toxic

Items that contribute to toxic build up over time include low consumption of healthy fluids, too little physical activity, regular consumption of animal products, and packaged foods. Other factors include prolonged exposure to chemicals, and medication. Unfortunately, most of us are subject to these toxins daily.

Cleansing Results

The ultimate purpose of a cleanse is to provide the gastrointestinal tract and vital organs physiological rest. By doing this we can nourish the body and revive it’s healing capabilities. Results typically include reduction in toxicity symptoms such as chronic fatigue, excess weight, low immunity, poor skin quality, and difficulty sleeping.

How To Do It

Fasting with just juices may be too extreme and too stressful for some people. Over time, you may choose to work up to that for a deeper cleanse which will give the body a full rest for at least one day or longer. The time and depth of a cleanse can vary but ultimately it aims to create a condition where the body’s systems flush out impurities and re-establish proper function. During a cleanse you should be totally nourished (not starved) so you will not need pull from healthy tissue for fuel. There are many cleansing diets on the market so do your research when finding one that is safe and best for you.
