Many of us are full of the nos, or I cant’s. I can’t exercise, I can’t eat good food, I can’t get sleep. We begin to put our energy into our rationalizations and believes that our life is constructed in a way that we can’t take care of ourselves. Next time you find yourself engaging in the I can’t, take time to reframe into I can. For example, you usually work out in the morning, and this morning you have to be out the door by 5:30 to get your kid to a special school rehearsal. Rather than saying, “I can’t exercise,” say, “I will park further away on my errands today, and walk an extra 3 minutes 3x today, and when I get home, I will do sit-ups during the show I am going to watch. Now, that I can’t has become an I can. Build a strong foundation of health beneath you. From water you drink to air you breathe to the way you talk to yourself, all of these areas are the things that matter the most to overall wellness. The most powerful health tools are the ones that don’t cost you a thing. From exercise to quality sleep, the data is outstanding for disease prevention and a creation of a better you. You are worth it! Just Say Yes!
