This happens daily for me in the capacity that we see patients here, but now we are taking it to the next level. Progressive Medical will be involved in a number of clinical trials.
These clinical trials will be therapies that we have used for decades at Progressive, but putting them together in a way so that we can look at data and see what has the best outcomes. The more we do this, the better we get, and the healthier our patients are. Our first trial will be regarding diabetes. These trials will be subsidized which means we will not only be able to give the same care but there will be some financial support that will benefit the patient as well.
In our diabetes program, patients will be given a customized treatment plan that will combine supplements, an exercise routine, and dietary guidelines. The changes in each person will be carefully monitored so we can see what works best for each individual as well as the entire group. Diabetes and blood sugar issues are quickly becoming the leading cause of preventable death and disease. The obesity epidemic is at an all-time high, and controlling sugar is a critical part of dealing with this.
As a large study told us, those who were able to maintain normal body weight were 80% less likely to have conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease in their 70s than those who were overweight. As I attend conferences and stay abreast of the research, many top doctors and scientists are drawing the conclusion that sugar management plays a great role in not only diabetes but cancer as well.
The better our therapies for dealing with sugar, the healthier community we can create. Talk to us at Progressive about this new model of care.
