Diabetes

Treatable. Reversible. Manageable. Preventable.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a hormone imbalance and metabolic disease.

The trouble begins when insulin, a hormone that processes the sugar in your body, gets out of control. Sugar management is the key to preventing diabetes. Not just diabetes, various research points to the idea that sugar management plays a significant role in preventing cancer as well. Remember, managing your sugar levels needs a progressive, holistic approach. It is not about doing one thing right. Instead, it is about taking several measures unique to your body to reverse your diabetes.

Risk Factors For Diabetes

Diabetes and blood sugar issues are quickly becoming the leading cause of preventable death and disease. There has been a recent change in the face of type 2 diabetes in the United States. Type 2 diabetes has changed from a disease of our grandparents and parents to a disease of our children. It is important to know who is at risk of developing diabetes to prevent “this new epidemic” from destroying future generations of Americans.

We do know that people with prediabetes are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Their blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be classified as diabetes. An estimated 79 million U.S. adults had prediabetes in 2010. This is a lifestyle disease that is largely preventable and highly treatable. People with prediabetes who lose 5%–7% of body weight and get at least 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%.

The obesity epidemic is on the rise, and controlling sugar is a critical part of dealing with this. As a large study told us, those who were able to maintain normal body weight were 80% less likely to have high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease in their 70s than those who were overweight. And as we mentioned, they may lessen the chances of getting cancer as well. Managing diabetes is critical and very possible.

Treating Diabetes With A Progressive Diabetes Management Program

The most significant factor by far in the treatment of diabetes is working against our Standard American Diet (“SAD”)/ Industrial Processed Food Diet. Removing sugar, starches, vegetable oils, hydrogenated oils, fried foods, and processed foods will have an impact on diabetes. Substituting in healthy foods like whole foods, fruits, vegetables, and lean protein will also fuel the body’s need to combat diabetes.

The good news is, this can REVERSE even long-standing diabetes and other chronic health issues like high blood pressure, brain fog, chronic fatigue, and other issues often associated with diabetes.

The other great news is – IT WORKS FAST! Some people may even notice a change in DAYS! And the results will last if the patient stays with the recommended diet and lifestyle changes. That’s what we learned from our patients. If you are looking for ways to reverse your diabetes or a perfect treatment plan for diabetes, you deserve to know more about Progressive Medical Center’s progressive approach in treating diabetes.

What’s Special About Our Diabetes Treatment Program?

Our doctors provide patients with a customized treatment plan:

In our diabetes program, patients are given a customized treatment plan. It combines supplements, exercise routine, physical therapies, iv therapies, and nutritional & dietary guidelines. The changes in each person are carefully monitored so we can see what works best for each individual.

We have seen incredible results with the Progressive Diabetes Management Program. Our patients lost over 100 pounds, and bid goodbye to their diabetes medications after a few weeks, no longer needing blood pressure medication. And they felt great about it.

Doctors at Progressive Medical Center use the following treatments to slow-down, stop, or reverse diabetes and prediabetes:

  • Customized dietary support
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Exercise regimen
  • Specialized diagnostic testing

There are other root causes of diabetes or prediabetes that can hold you back, even when you follow a proper diet and exercise program. We use specialized testing to look at your metabolism, cardiovascular system, and your internal biochemistry. If your other doctors overlook these areas, you may not get the improvements you deserve.

At Progressive Medical Center, we use specialized tests to measure:

  • Food sensitivities
  • Gastrointestinal health
  • Inflammation
  • Heart health
  • Hormonal balance
  • Toxicity

Diabetes is a metabolic disease.

That’s why advice from your conventional doctor—eat less, exercise more, don’t eat sugar—may not always work. To get results, your doctors need to address the underlying causes of your condition, not just the symptoms.

Resetting your metabolism takes a custom plan, which our expert team at Progressive will provide for you. We don’t want you to feel frustrated, take prescription medications for life or struggle with getting real results. Let us build a customized program just for you to fight your diabetes, based on your unique metabolism.

About Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine is a comprehensive, science-based approach to medical care that draws on the best of many different specialties: natural medicine, allopathic (or conventional) medicine, diagnostic testing, nutrition, metabolism, detoxification, nutritional supplements, customized diets, acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage, among others. In integrative medicine, natural medical therapies are preferred as a way to mimic and enhance the body’s natural healing abilities while minimizing unwanted side effects.

The focus is to address the underlying causes of illness, not just the symptoms, and to promote the health of the whole person- mind, body, and spirit. If you are looking for a different approach to solving many of the medical issues and symptoms that plague millions of people around the world daily, then consider Progressive Medical Center.

The principles of integrative medicine:

  • A partnership between patient and practitioner in the healing process
  • Investigate and address the underlying causes of illness, rather than treating only the symptoms (via diagnostic testing)
  • Appropriate use of conventional and alternative methods to facilitate the body’s innate healing response
  • Consideration of all factors that influence health, wellness, and disease, including mind, body, spirit, and community
  • A philosophy that critically evaluates and selects conventional medical and alternative therapies based on clinical outcomes and known side effects
  • Recognition that good medicine should be based in good science, be inquiry-driven, and be open to new paradigms
  • Use of natural, effective, less-invasive interventions whenever possible
