About Nicki Strovinskas

Nicki is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, who holds a Bachelors degree in Nutrition from Samford University and a Masters in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama. She completed her dietetic internship at Life University where she had the opportunity to gain knowledge in several areas of Nutrition.

Her wellness journey began as a patient at Progressive, where she experienced firsthand the power of personalized health care. That experience ignited her passion for wellness and led her to become a Registered Dietitian. She started in public health, working with children and pregnant/postpartum women. While she loved supporting families in that role, she felt a deep calling to help others the way she had been helped.

That desire brought Nicki back to Progressive, this time as part of the team—coaching and walking alongside patients on their own health journeys. One of her favorite aspects of her work is helping patients navigate food sensitivities by finding creative and satisfying substitutions that fit their dietary needs. She truly believes “food is medicine” and that our diets play an important role in our overall health and wellness.

Now, as a mom of three, she has applied everything she has learned over the years in her own home. From managing picky toddlers to adjusting for her own sensitivities, her approach to food and cooking has evolved over the years. But most importantly she realized that true wellness is about more than just what we eat—it’s about how all the pieces fit together. As a certified Wellness Coach, Nicki enjoys helping patients in all areas to reach their health goals.
