Hormone Imbalances

So, What are hormones?

How are hormones treated?

The most common hormonal imbalances are estrogen and progesterone in women and testosterone in males. Bioidentical hormones are processed hormones that are designed to mimic the hormones made by your body’s endocrine system.

Bio-identical hormones are a common treatment method for patients with hormonal imbalances. They are safe and effective.

Depending on your unique needs, different treatment delivery methods may be best suited for you. Creams are a common option and are easy to use and effective. Hormone pellets are another option. These pellets are inserted under the skin and release a steady dose of hormones into the bloodstream. This avoids the peaks and valleys common in hormone dosing. For other patients, injections, troches, and patches may be better options.
