About Amber Looper, PA-C
Amber Looper PA-C is a licensed and board-certified physician assistant practicing at Progressive Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 20 years of experience in anesthesia and pain management.
Amber graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a dual minor in chemistry and french. In the summer of 1982, Amber enrolled in a study abroad program earning a Certificate Moyen in French language and culture from the Paris-Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She completed her graduate studies in 1986, earning a Masters of Medical Science degree from Emory University School of Allied Health Physician Assistant Program.
Amber has always been interested in complementary, holistic medicine. She has read several books written by and attended lectures taught by Dr. Andrew Weil.
As part of the medical team at Progressive Medical Center, Amber assists the medical and naturopathic doctors in performing inpatient consultations, lab reviews, and formulating treatment plans for our patients. In the pain management department, Amber consults with patients, orders pain management modalities, and performs trigger point and joint injections with ozone.
Amber is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants, Emory University Alumni Association, and Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
